Ingredients

  • 1 full rack, pork baby back ribs
  • yellow mustard
  • liquid smoke
  • rib rub seasoning, or:
    • woodfired garlic powder
    • onion powder
    • paprika
  • sea salt
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • apple cider vinegar
  • butter
  • hot honey
  • brown sugar

Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • tongues
  • tinfoil
  • mixing bowl
  • basting brush

Instructions

  1. preheat the oven to 275°F and line a baking sheet with foil. Combine the seasonings.
  2. Cover both side of the ribs in yellow mustard and liquid smoke, then rub on the seasonings mixture
  3. Bake the ribs uncovered for 3 hours on the baking sheet, meat side up.
  4. Brush the ribs with a butter, ACV, hot honey mixture every 30 minutes.
  5. Line a section of tinfoil with butter, brown sugar, and hot honey.
  6. Place the ribs meat-side down on to the tinfoil, cover them with the tinfoil, and place back in the oven for 2 more hours.
  7. Unwrap the ribs. Place ribs meat side up on baking sheet, uncovered.
  8. Heat oven to 325°F, bake ribs for 30 minutes - 1 hour.
  9. Cut and serve!
